Let’s Open Our Eyes! What is the truth?

The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial which is thankfully coming to end soon has taken the world by storm. I’d like to think it’s not solely due to their movie star status but also because it deals with issues that in one form or another, affect us as human beings. No one wants to be a victim of any type of abuse.

However, let’s remember that they are both human, they have feelings and we need to have more empathy and put ourselves in both of their places. They have families and what if Amber were your sister or Johnny your brother? Let’s remember they are not the only 2 people suffering as a result of what is going on. We need to be open minded and understand where each of them are coming from. They are different which is okay. No one is perfect. Depending on a current situation we may be facing, we need to make decisions which are not easy sometimes. I’m not going to take sides on this matter but I strongly recommend that when we become of aware of issues such as these, we take an objective approach which is what I’m doing. Leave personal biases aside. It’s the only way to be 100% honest with yourself.

As it relates to the trail, for the first time, I’ve come across this article written by Mary Madigan which delicately but truthfully points out both sides which serioulsy need to be considered.

As people, as a country, as a world, we must safeguard our sanity and your gender is no excuse for doing the wrong things. Please read it carefully.
