If your’e looking to grow your Instagram fan base/followers, you realize how difficult and time consuming it is to do it in an organic fashion. Luckily, companies such as Skweezer and many others exist to give you tons of followers for a modest price. WRONG!!!! Keep reading.
As an Instagram user myself, like many of you out there, I have had my struggles to get followers. Bottom line is, it’s not easy. Therefore, I looked into various services some of which I tried but quickly learned that what they do is follow users, once those users follow you, they unfollow them, etc. They keep this going until you acquire a good amount of users. In order to this however, they must first follow a lot of users. Therefore, if you ever sign up with any of these companies, you will see that you’re suddenly following tons of people you don’t know. It takes a long time for you to get the amount of followers equal to the amount of people you are suddenly following. My experiences were not good so once I cancelled the service, I had to change my password so they no longer had access to my account and then I had to get to work and manually undo what they had done (unfollow people that were not going to follow me back).
One day I came across this company called Skweezer. I’ve been checking them out for over a year and the thing that caught my attention about them is one of their many services offered. Supposedly, they can get your account verified by Instagram. Be WARNED, before you can even submit an application for verification, you have to meet certain criteria which they will gladly charge you for to get you there.
I contemplated this for a long time but always ended up putting it off. Boy am I glad I never paid the $179 verification fee (They have now reduced it to $150), see their fee schedule. If you look at the rules, they don’t GUARANTEE it. This is the reason I kept holding off because I didn’t want to just pay the fee and get no results. In reality, how can you be certain they even tried?
Today, I can say with certainty that their service is bogus, at least one of them. About a month ago I received an email with the greatest offer ever!!! That’s actually a joke because here we are over a month later and the offer remains but it was supposed to be that day only. The offer is 60% off any of their services. I bit the bait and bought a followers package. I paid $39.99 for 5,000 “REAL” followers. Then I paid an extra $2.99 for guaranteed refills which means if any of them drop, they will refill your account.
Initially I was excited, I got my followers within 2 hours. By the next morning, they were gone along with many more I had prior to buying the service. I proceeded to contact them via email and they said they would refill it right away (I did pay for that right?). Well, I never got the refill. A few days later I went back on their site and saw that they had a button to request refills. I must have pressed that button 50 times and here we are a month later and I still haven’t received anything.
About a week after my initial refill request, I filed a dispute with my bank and just today, almost 6 weeks later, I got a temporary credit which means they’re still working on it but it looks promising at least.
In summary, don’t get taken for any amount of money. I’m all about growing my business or social media account but there are companies out there who just take advantage and then you end up having to cross through so much red tape to get your money back if you even get it. Most of these companies are based overseas so I’m sure that makes it way more difficult. The best advice I can give is, keep posting and post regularly. Upload cool content, tag people, use relevant keywords and sooner or later your account will grow with people genuinely interested in whatever it is that you do. Don’t try to rush it by risking your money with these bogus companies like Skweezer. Here is a good article about growing organically.
